Missed!!

When I think of Bill many great stories and memories come to mind, but the one that seems to stick out the most is a story from one of my early deer camps in Northern Wisconsin.

As a young hunter at camp one of the most difficult things is seperating fact from fiction a.k.a. the ability to tell when your leg is being pulled. Bill's famous story revolves around the shirt tail of a hunter who misses a deer being cut off...On a cold November morning I had a chance at a doe and missed. I came back to camp feeling a little embarrased and wondering how I could've possibly missed. I told my story, and Bill said it was time to get the knife out, I laughed as if he was joking...well you cqan guess what happened next. My mom was PO'd about the new shirt, and it when the 5th generation misses, you can bet there will be a shirt tail hanging next to the socks drying on the line.
